ProPlenish Quick 5 with Simone Holtznagel

April 11, 2016

Simone is the beautiful blonde that first turned heads when she finished second runner-up on Australia's Next Top Model in 2011. Since then her modelling career has taken her to California and seen her shoot for the likes of GUESS.

Some of a model’s most important assets are their skin and hair, and often these are the most exposed to damage related to their work. Hair endures constant blow drying, excessive heat styling, colouring and a mixture of hair products whilst skin can be placed under added stress due to constant makeup application. We were thrilled to hear that Simone has seen great improvements in her hair and skin after including ProPlenish in her daily diet, so we had a quick chat with her so you could hear how.

What was the reason you started taking ProPlenish marine collagen?
I first started taking ProPlenish when my hair was becoming more and more damaged from working so much. I always took really great care of my hair as it is blonde so with coloring and then constant styling with work. Towards the end of 2014 my hair was VERY badly damage by a certain well know hair salon… What I like to call a chemical hair cut. ProPlenish really helped me get things back on track!

What results have you seen from including ProPlenish in your diet and how long before you noticed them?
I’ve been taking ProPlenish for a while now. It’s the type of thing that after a month or so of taking it at least once a day, sometimes more, you see results quite quickly. I noticed my hair looking and feeling better and seemed to growing quicker.

We understand that taking care of what you look like is significant to your job, how important is looking after your beauty from within to you?
At the end of the day, whatever you do to look after yourself from the inside you will notice a difference from the outside. I am so into beauty supplements! Anything I can take that will make my hair, skin & nails better – sign me up!

What is your favourite way to take your ProPlenish every day?
I usually take ProPlenish in juice or a smoothie every morning. Or if I’m making my own acai bowl I add it to that also. Then I add a citrus sachet of it to my big litre bottle of water I have by my side every day, and add another whenever I refill!

What is your beauty routine on a day off?
Depending on the state of my skin – if I am stressed out or not looking after myself well enough (whether that’s from not enough sleep, too much alcohol, not enough water etc) my skin tends to reflect that. Sometimes I wish I could say I was the type of model that doesn’t wear make up on there days off but I actually REALLY love make up and doing my make up each day, I find it quite cathartic. You will rarely catch me without a stitch of make up on. I studied to be a make up artist, as my back up plan if all else fails, so maybe that has something to do with it!

Can you share with us the best beauty tip you have picked up from being in the industry?
Hmm… I cannot even think of just one great one – there is a lot!

Lastly, would you recommend ProPlenish to other women?
Absolutely!
